Last week during the OpenGeneva<\/a> Festival, we had a three-days hackathon trying to work with the content of the Swiss Data Cube to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 on Water. More information can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It was a really nice event, appreciated by the 29 participants with positive feedbacks and some very nice results.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the great contributions of our hackers, we’ve been able to:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Test the ingestion of the first Sentinel-1 (radar) ARD products using the Google Earth Engine<\/a>.\u00a0\"\"<\/li>\n
  2. Develop innovative (draft) algorithms to estimate the Chlorphyll, Total Suspend Matter (TSM), and Coloured Dissolved Organic Matter (CDOM) in lakes.\u00a0\"\"<\/li>\n
  3. Initiate the development of web-based viewer for discovering, querying, and accessing information products generate from the Swiss Data Cube.\u00a0\"\"<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    On behalf of the Swiss Data Cube team, we would like to thank you all for these great contributions that help to harness the EO Data revolution for Sustainable Development.<\/p>\n
